Breakthru's Youth Gambling Scoping Report funded by Mid Ulster District Council and carried out in 2015 found that over 80% of leaders/young people in the community didn't think information and support on gambling was accessible.

Almost three quarters of the young participants questioned felt gambling was an issue that affected young people and said that many of their peers were involved in gambling.

Breakthru is running pilot covering the full Mid Ulster Council area which will provide awareness sessions, specific and tailored information and one to one support for young people affected by gambling. It will provide support for youth workers, leaders and parents to enable them to talk about the issue, raise awareness and deal with emerging issues.
